Product Description

Potassium Trimethylsilanolate is a basic water solution mainly composed of potassium and methyl silica gel, which can react with CO2 or other acid compounds in the air to form the active substance polymethylsilicic acid to produce waterproof property. Water repellent for minerals.

The product should be diluted with water when used., can produce surface waterproof and reduce moisture absorption. It is permeable, absorbable and able to maintain the natural appearance of the substrate. Can react with CO2 or other acidic compounds in the air, on the surface of substrate to form a layer of insoluble mesh breathable waterproof membrane, has excellent waterproof effect and anti-seepage, moisture, rust resistance, anti-aging, anti-pollution, avoid water suction base, thus reducing the freezing and thawing and weathering cause peeling off, increasing basal life. This is the product of simple construction, low cost, the effect lasting, scrub resistance, high and low temperature resistance (-50 ~ 150 ºC)

Typical applications

 

Usage

1. Clean the surface of the substrate before use, and remove the water, dirt and other attachments of the substrate to be treated. If there are cracks, fill it with putty or cement slurry.

2. Slightly moisten the surface of the substrate for absorption before construction.

3. Dilute to 3% or lower when used. If more than 3% concentration is needed, it must be verified experimentally. High concentration will lead to white residue on the waterproof surface.

4. The construction can be carried out by soaking, spraying or painting with dishcloth, sponge, brush, roller and sealing spray gun. It can also be used in concrete.

5. After painting, the treated surface shall be naturally dried, and the surface shall be painted twice before drying. If use in stone material, ceramic tile surface protection is dealt with, after construction did not watch dry before wipe with soft cloth redundant liquid, do not touch water to conserve at least 24h.
 

Attention

1. Before use, a small sample concentration test should be conducted to determine whether the concentration is suitable for your specific use.

2. This product is highly corrosive, and it is strictly prohibited to contact with the skin directly. If it is accidentally touched, please wash it with water immediately. If contact with eyes, immediately wash with water for 15 minutes and seek medical advice. This product can also damage or kill plants, contaminate or corrode glass, plastic, aluminum and most metals. Special care should be taken when spraying. When used for home storage, avoid contact with children. But this product brush coating dry after alkaline disappeared, harmless to human body.

3. The preparation of waterproof agent is too high or used too much. After drying, a small amount of white precipitate will be formed on the coating surface.

4. In winter, if the temperature is too low, the product will freeze the crystal structure. When heated to room temperature, the solution will be transparent.

5. It is recommended to wear protective gloves and face glasses during construction, and avoid inhaling the fog generated by the product during outdoor construction. When spraying or fogging in the closed environment, partial exhaust is recommended.
