Silway5052 Formulation Aid is an alkyl methyl polyether silicone copolymer. Its original function is to produce water-oil emulsions in which the oil phase has low polarity. In products made with Silway 5052 Formulation Aid, it enables the gap between oil-to-water and water-to-oil systems, giving them the advantages of protection, water resistance and elegance inherent in water-oil formulations but without the oiliness and weight typical of these systems.

Silway5052 Formulation Aid allows the preparation of cold creams and lotions, toroom temperature, saving energy and reducing processing time. Although because Silway5052 Formulation Aid has high molecular weight, retains its
Liquid properties. The consequence of this specific property is the formation ofa viscous and elastic film that is very stable at the water-oil interface, therefore Silway5052 Formulation Aid is a very effective emulsifier as it achieves
water-oil formulations with excellent stability even at high concentrations ofwater and low proportion of emulsifier. This also allows for the addition of registrations ratios of humectants such as glycerin and propylene glycol, at the same time maintains an excellent sensory profile. Silway5052 Formulation Aid can be used as an adjuvant for emulsions in oil-in-water systems and also provides,proven to condition both skin and hair.
